Solar Activity

Some activity, with an M-class flare (AR 11817). There are currently 7 active regions on disk. STEREO B shows a few small active regions that will rotate onto the disk within a few days.

How many GOES flares occurred?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 17 10 1 0

And how many of these are listed in the RHESSI flare list?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 14 9 1 0

And how many had EXCELLENT coverage?

 Flares above B, C, M, X class were 7 4 1 0

There were RHESSI flares/GOES flares 160 / 28 over the time range 06-Aug-13 13-Aug-13

Memory Management

No issues. The SSR emptied by the end of the daily pass set. Max of 22% in last 7 days.

Spacecraft Status

The cold plate temperatures have come down since last week due to the increased day length. Trending as normal. Both cryocooler and spin rate look normal.

On August 13 (DOY 225), the ADP experienced an error followed by a bad checksum on the ADP program code. The relevant science data have been downlinked and Martin will be taking a look to determine if the data was useable (we have seen cases where a bad ADP checksum did not affect the data).

2013-225-16:35:14 IDPU reports ADP write error
  2013-225-16:37:23 ADP shows bad checksum
2013-226-01:01:07 ADP good checksum after two resets
2013-226-02:36:34 ADP checksum briefly incorrect during additional reset
  2013-226-02:38:13 ADP running normally

Data Gaps

There was one short data gap (300s) on August 8.

Detector issues

There was a spiky count enhancement in D3, D4, and D8 on August 12 at 17:30 UT. This could be scrambled data rather than an arc (according to David). http://sprg.ssl.berkeley.edu/~tohban/browser/?show=grth1+qlpcr+qlpfr+qlprr+monfs+monfl+monfu+monfr+monff+monrs+monrl+monru+monrr+monrf&date=20130812&time=173000
