ISUAL Project:
The Imager for Sprites and Upper Atmospheric Lightning (ISUAL) is a cooperation between the Space Sciences Laboratory (SSL) of the University of California at Berkeley with the National Chen Kung University (NCKU). This cooperation is part of the FORMOSAT-2 project sponsored by the National Space Program Office of Taiwan (NSPO).
The ISUAL instrument was launched into space on board the FORMOSAT-2 spacecraft on May 20, 2004 and has since been used to observe Sprites, the aurora, and upper atmospheric airglow from space.
